As previously stated in the Q&A, I like to do a combination of HTML coding and CMS. Both of their benefits and help to make your website special. Please continue reading for clarification.
HTML
HyperText Markup Language (HTML) is often called a static page. There are some who call it "old school" coding. During the internet's infancy, when everything was dialup, all webpages were created by HTML coding. HTML was/is tedious, however has better embedding options than CMS (in my humble opinion).
Positives of HTML*Artistic Freedom
*Can manipulate the code to get the result you want (ie: YouTube embedded video via HTML can be done to custom size,, and without suggested links at end of video. Embedded YouTube video via CMS has pre-selected choices of size, and with suggested links YouTube picks. Live commercials and banner ads in YouTube videos are based often added to longer videos "free" accounts.) please note the difference between the videos below. |
Negatives of HTML*Teedious
*Easy to make errors, making section or page not work properly *Some HTML codes are not compatible with mobile devices (yet) *Most tablets will not do any HTML code editing *Have to "convert" the HTML code to view the result |
HTML text:<iframe width="350" height="197" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/AFpRqlRs6UM?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

CMS
Content Management Systems (CMS) are computer/tablet programs that allow for the user to edit/design a website without having to imput codes. They came out in the late 1990's to eliminate the need for hand coding everything. CMS does all the coding itself. Many of the newer sites are built using CMS. They're a must for E-Commerce sites.
Positives of CMS*Faster web design with pre-coded elements
*Real-time editing, no pondering if it coded correctly |
Negatives of CMS*Limited control based on what the program has to offer
